Promotional Statement

The Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame and Jim Thorpe Museum combines educational, inspirational,
preservation and entertainment functions. The museum includes
interactive hands on exhibits on Jim Thorpe, Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame inductees, the winners of Jim Thorpe Award winners and is the home of archives and exhibits on Oklahoma schools, universities and many other Oklahoma sports organizations.

Oklahoma's sports heritage and the
heroes who created it are second to none. Jim Thorpe, Henry Iba, Bud Wilkinson, Mickey Mantle, Carl Hubbell, Jim Shoulders, Allie Reynolds and Abe Lemons are but a few of the nationally revered sports heroes claimed by this state. In addition to the national appeal of the legendary Olympian Jim Thorpe, the Hall of Fame honors the greatest male and female athletes from each state, Oklahoma All-Americans, Olympic greats and national champions in an array of sports categories.

Located in Oklahoma's Capitol Beautification Area, the museum is in the center of the State Capitol with Bricktown, the National Cowboy and Western Heritage
Museum and Remington Park just moments away.
