Promotional Statement
The Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum is conveniently located in the Columbus, Ohio suburb of Pickerington. The Museum is home to an impressive collection of motorcycles. The two-story, 26,000-square-foot facility features three main galleries, showcasing machines of every description and era from the board-track racers and streamliners of the sport's early days, to competition machines of the modern era.
The guiding principle of the Motorcycle Hall of Fame is to tell the stories of American motorcycling, and that goes beyond just displaying the machines. Our exhibits pay tribute to the history and popular culture, discussing issues and controversies of the day. Most important to these stories are the people who make up the Hall of Fame, their inventions, designs and contributions to the sport.
The best example of the Museum's philosophy is the Motorcycle Hall of Fame itself. In annual induction ceremonies, the Motorcycle Hall of Fame honors people who made significant contributions to all aspects of motorcycling, including those who have excelled in business, design and engineering, publishing and promotion, as well as those known for road riding, off-road riding, and all types of motorcycle racing.
Each year the new class of Motorcycle Hall of Fame inductees is announced in the Spring and ceremonies are held in the Fall. Please check the Museum's web site for details.
