Promotional Statement

The Aquatic Hall of Fame and Museum of Canada is located at the Pan-Am Pool. It was erected in 1967, and the application for the Hall of Fame was made by The City of Winnipeg. A Natatorium complex that covers an area of more than
13 acres is located at 25 Poseidon Bay, Winnipeg, Manitoba. It is named after the Greek god of the sea and protector of all waters. It was the jewel of the 1967 Pan Am Games and was featured when Winnipeg hosted the 1999 Pan AM Games. The secont longest operating competition in the
Americans.

A new Royal Gallery addition of 10,000 sq ft. was added in 1999 and dedicated by HRH The Business Koyal on July 26, 1999.

An ancient history of aquatics is particularly well depicted in this excellent museum. It has on display copies of many exquisite artifacts. Artifacts and memorabilia valued in the millions of dollars have already been donated by interested persons. It also has a library and archives that contain much of the history of Canada the Commonwealth in the Aquatic World.

"American Champions and Barrier Breakers: Jackie Robinson, Joe Louis and Althea Gibson,” exhibit will be on display from Feb. 17, 2012, to July 30, 2012, and celebrates the lives of Robinson, Louis and Gibson, their sports achievements and their important legacies. The exhibit will feature artifacts, documents and photographs of these three American icons while calling attention to the numerous contributions that African Americans have made to golf for more than a century.
