Tennis Hall of Fame to host 2012 ISHA Conference

NEWPORT, RI – The International Sports Heritage Association (ISHA) has announced that the International Tennis Hall of Fame will host its 42nd annual conference on Oct. 24-26, 2012. ISHA includes more than 130 member institutions from around the world with the collective mission of preserving and interpreting sports heritage. The annual conference is attended by representatives of the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia.

The International Tennis Hall of Fame and Museum is a non-profit educational institution dedicated to fostering an appreciation of the historical development of tennis and its impact on our culture, as well as the history of the Newport Casino. The Museum accomplishes these goals by collecting, preserving, exhibiting and interpreting its collections for a diverse audience. The Museum, established in 1954, also celebrates those persons who have exceptional records or who have made outstanding contributions to the sport of tennis.

The International Tennis Hall of Fame and Museum has been an ISHA member institution since the 1970s and has hosted two previous ISHA conferences in 1976 and 1989.
