The Sports Museum of New England
The Sports Museum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational institution that has served Boston and New England for almost 40 years.
We preserve and showcase the distinctly rich sports heritage of New England through an unparalleled collection of artifacts, multimedia, works of art, and interactive exhibits. Located on Levels 5 and 6 of the TD Garden in the heart of Downtown Boston, The Sports Museum features a half-mile of exhibits celebrating the character (and characters) of Boston sports, including displays on the Bruins, Celtics, Red Sox, Patriots, Revolution, Olympics, and much more. More than 100,000 people visit The Sports Museum each year..
Our mission also involves leveraging our sports heritage to teach the values of leadership, respect, and cooperation to our youth. In furtherance of this mission, we offer several innovative educational programs designed for kids, including Boston vs Bullies, our anti-bullying initiative that has reached over 32,000 kids in the greater-Boston area. Other impactful educational programs that we offer and deliver include including Stand Strong, our program that builds character in kids so that they can stand up to drugs, violence, bullying, and other dangers, The Will McDonough Writing Contest (writing), Careers in Sports (business), and more! All told, over 40,000 students each year participate in our educational programs.
