International Tennis Hall of Fame and Museum

Tennis HallThe International Tennis Hall of Fame, “Newport’s Sporting Mansion” on Bellevue Avenue, is housed in the Newport Casino – a National Historic Landmark built in 1880 as a social and recreational club for Newport’s summer residents. American tournament tennis began at the Casino over a century ago, and the complex boasts the only competition grass courts in the United States open for public
play.

Tennis history comes alive in the world’s largest tennis museum, which features dynamic videos and popular memorabilia from tennis’ historic champions and the superstars of today. Visitors can test their tennis savvy with new interactive video displays and walk through the Enshrinement Hall, where plaques commemorate the 235 legends so honored.

Each July, the Casino complex hosts “Newport Tennis Week,” including top men touring pros vying for the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships and the annual International Tennis Hall of Fame Enshrinement Ceremony.
